Bananien Lodge

Hosts were very friendly and helpful. The lodge was very clean, great showers and kitchen well equipped. Nice to have a pool when it's hot. I would recommend it to other travellers.

Well located

The place is very well located in a green park with a lot of space and the lodges are also comfortable. We were a little bit disappointed that the pool was not clean. After a long day on the road we expected to relax in the fresh water.

More than the eye beholds

We were welcomed and well accommodated at Bananien. The setting is lovely and the nature amazing. The units themselves are tired and in need of an upgrade. The kitchen is tiny ! That said, the atmosphere is great and we enjoyed our stay.

Bananien Lodge

We where there for the annual Sabie Experience. So our stay was about getting up at 5am out by 6am and only back at 4pm eat, out for the race briefing and back to sleep at 9pm. Not quite the holiday fib we where going for.
All we ask is for quite clean space where we can make food and sleep and the what is gr8 of the other places like Mary Pebbles is that they have a place to wash the bikes after each day. As maintenance is very important this is a nice feature that we did not have.

Over all we where happy with what we got.

Fantastic

We found the hosts , Pete & Maggie, a lovely couple, very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was cleaned daily. a most enjoyable stay. We will stay there again. I was taken ill while I was there, and pete and maggie assisted my wife and sister in getting to johannesburg. They went out of their way to assist them. I am very grateful to them.

Peace and quiet

My boyfriend and I came for a quiet weekend away, it is very nice there to be in the mountains away from traffic and everything else. It is nice to see places that went back into history and know that you have been there. It is a nice place to go just to have peace and quiet especially when you come from Gauteng!

Unforgettable

A pleasant stay in a beautiful setting. Very romantic and moodily, the owner is an instant friend and very helpful.

We can recommend it without hesitation and will make use of this lodge again in the future!

The recent fires in Sabie did not damage the lodge and is remains picturesque.

Lovely affordable weekend retreat

Very basic rustic small log cabins set in a charming garden on the road between Sabie and Hazyview...expect some road noise. Well situated for touring the Panaroma and Kruger Park. Don't forget to bring your own bath and swimming towels.

Great retreat

Great location, relaxed ambiance and great company is a great recipe for a good time. To anybody looking for an escape from the city at an affordable rate, this is the place to be. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.
Will definitely recommend Bananien Lodge to everybody.

Weekend stay

The lodge was cosy and everyone was friendly - we thought it was a central location to see all we wanted to see - e.g Pilgroms rest, Gods window, macmac, lisbon falls etc
There was a little noise from the road. But in general it was comfortable and what we needed. ThankS!
