Description
Situated in the secure village of Kosmos with stunning views of Hartbeespoortdam. Only 45 minutes from Johannesburg and Pretoria we welcome you to Willinga Lodge. The lodge has a feeling of Bali in Africa. Set in a tropical garden Willinga Lodge offers guests a romantic getaway in 6 well-appointed private suites with luxury jacuzzi baths and ceramic wood fueled fireplaces.
Suites have coffee and tea making trays, CD players and a fridge as well as braai facilities on the terrace or at the lapa by the pool. The en suite bathrooms have jacuzzi baths and showers (some double and some outside). In the tropical garden we have a lovely saltwater rock pool as well as a cuddle jacuzzi under the trees.
Many varieties of Hibiscus and other tropical plants. Birdwatchers and nature lovers paradise. Superb English breakfasts served on the deck or in the new Bali dining room with wonderful views of the dam. The lodge soon will be able to offer a meeting room for executives. This will be in the new dining room and entertainment area of the main Bali house. This is a magnificent area with the roof, windows and doors of the house fully imported from Bali.
Theme oriental dinners with Balinese and Indonesian food will be offered once a month. TV lounge with DStv for use of the guests as well as a large self-catering gourmet kitchen. Picnic baskets can be pre-arranged. Private wine cellar on the premises. Wonderful hospitality from your hosts Ingrid and Will. English, Dutch, Afrikaans and German spoken. Small pets welcome.

Yellowgrape Suite (1 unit)
The Yellowgrape Suite is a lovely thatched suite with en-suite bathroom with a bath, separate shower and toilet. This suite has a twin beds or can be made up as a king size bed. The private terrace has a wonderful view of the dam as well as a private braai. Situated next door to the central lounge and kitchen area where there is DStv. The kitchen may be used by the guests for self-catering.

Greenbird Suite (1 unit)
A lovely separate entrance thatched suite with a queen size bed. The en-suite bathroom has a separate bath, shower and toilet. The suite has a ceramic fireplace (wood fire) and a private terrace with a lovely view of the dam. The suite has a fridge as well as a coffee and tea making tray and braai facilities. Closest to the TV lounge and outside jacuzzi.

Island Suite (1 unit)
The Island Suite is a loose standing thatched private suite with a queen size bed. Romantic mosquito net, furry blankets in winter. The en-suite bathroom has a jacuzzi bath (with a hand shower), wall mounted heater and a separate toilet. A lovely outside shower (hot water) and terrace with a braai overlooking the dam. The suite also has a ceramic fireplace (wood fire) and a CD player. A fridge and coffee and tea making tray is in the suite.

Palm Suite (1 unit)
Up a couple of stairs from the parking area is the lovely oriental and intimate feeling, thatched Palm Suite . A very special romantic suite with the jacuzzi spa bath in front of the sliding door of the balcony overlooking the dam. Candles placed around the bath. The gas log fire adds to the ambience of the suite. Surrounded by soft flowing drapes the queen size bed overlooks the fireplace and spa bath. The en-suite sea-green stone tiled bathroom has a double shower with two shower heads. A fridge, coffee and tea making tray and CD player completes the picture.

Bali Suite (1 unit)
This Indonesian style suite is decorated in a tropical look with a queen size bed. The lounge area has under floor heating and a ceramic fireplace for winter nights. A CD player is provided as well as a fridge and hospitality tray. The en suite bathroom is spacious and has a separate toilet and bidet area for extra privacy. The shower area has no doors or walls on two sides and a natural pebble floor. Adjacent is the spa bath with an amazing view overlooking the tropical garden and dam. There is also a private outside shower. Leading through the French doors is an outside private patio with a little braai, from there a few steps down is a flat grassy area with loungers for the sun lovers.

Lombok Suite (1 unit)
This romantic Indonesian style suite overlooks the pool and the dam. It has two sets of French doors opening onto the terrace under the trees, which has a small braai. This spacious suite has a queen size four poster bed draped in organza. It has a lounge area with CD player and a hospitality tray; a fridge is discreetly tucked away behind the screen. A lovely ceramic fireplace in the one corner is the ideal way to keep warm in winter and a ceiling fan will keep you cool in summer. The en suite bathroom has a large shower as well as a two person Jacuzzi bath that is placed in front of the folding open window with a magnificent view of the dam.

Married 40th Anniversary
It was very romantic, the suite was outstanding as well as the hosts. It was above my expectations. I recommend Willinga Lodge without a doubt to everybody looking for peace and romance, a very very outstanding place. My thanks again to Ingrid.

Romance in Bali
We had an excellent stay. Loved the Bali suite - it has total privacy and have a beautiful view of the dam. Breakfast was awesome! The whole weekend was lovely and very romantic. Willinga definitely added to all the magic and I will recommend it to anyone and it certainly has all the ingredients to spice up the romance.

Absolute beauty
We stayed overnight, as we were attending a wedding. We were welcomed by Ingrid, the owner, as well as her little doggy Bruno, who proceeded to walk us to our suite and made us feel very much at home. We stayed at the island suite, wow, stunning views, serenity coupled with romantic seclusion, made for an unforgettable experience. The next morning we were spoilt with breakfast prepared by the owners themselves, who honestly cooked up a storm. Loved it, and would definitely go back.

Weekend away in the Lombok suite
I found the lombok suite to be amazing. It reminded us of our trip to Indonesia. We felt cut-off from the hussle of the city. Pure relaxation. My better half used the word amazing to describe the decor in the room. The entire room looks to have been shipped in from Bali.
Will and Ingrid were fantastic hosts and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a romantic getaway or even just to relax from the stress of the city.
