The Last Word Franschhoek is an exclusive 5 Star historic residence located in the heart of Franschhoek village, the gourmet capital of South Africa. It’s only a minute’s walk from the many excellent award-winning restaurants and numerous character-filled boutique style shops and art galleries.
The magnificent Franschhoek valley offers world-class wine estates, tastings and cellar tours nestled between towering mountains and beautiful vineyards and the picturesque traditional French village hosts some of the best cuisine from internationally recognised gourmet chefs. Of South Africa’s top ten restaurants, three are located in Franschhoek, and there is a choice of more than 30 different places to wine and dine.
The valley is also the idyllic setting for walking trails, hiking, cycling, bird watching, horse riding and fly-fishing, while golfing enthusiasts are well catered for with several championship golf courses close by.
Beautifully restored in the Cape Huguenot tradition, this boutique hotel has been designed with sumptuous home comforts creating an elegant, sophisticated interior with a handsome mixture of classic and contemporary furnishings.
There are six luxurious rooms, three superior doubles which open onto private patio gardens and three suites, two of which have access to semi private pools. All have large en-suite bathrooms.
Breakfasts are a speciality offering a wide choice of interesting fare and are inclusive, as are all beverages. Dinners and lunches are available by prior arrangement. An in-house chauffeur service is available to guests for restaurant transfers or tailored tours to the highlights of Cape Town at an additional charge.
