Description
Spacious one and two bedroom self-catering flats. Separate bedrooms, TV lounge, kitchen, dining table and chairs and private bathroom. All linen and towels supplied. Patio overlooking large garden with partial sea views, swimming pool, braai facilities, secure off road parking, child, and family friendly. We have a fully self-equipped with microwave, stove and fridge.
4 km to Gateway, beaches, ABSA stadium and four major golf courses, ideal location in central Durban North. Shopping malls, banks. We are within walking distance. Host conducts safaris, golf tours, battlefields tours, deep-sea fishing, and day trip. International backpackers welcome. Note we have a minimum booking period of two days.

This was one of the hilights of our trip. The flats were well equipped, wanting for nothing. Mark and his family were so welcoming and Mark must be one of the nicest and most helpful people we met. His tour of the game reserve was so informative and knowledgeable, and we saw so many animals. We had a wonderful stay in Durban. Highly recommended!!!!!

Wonderful
Our stay at Shongololo was magnificent. Both flats were lovely and furnished with both bedrooms being very spacious. Mark was a freindly and helpful host. I do recommend staying at Shomgololo.

Great place to stay in Durban!!
We had a wonderful stay at the Shongololo Flats for the World Cup 2010. Mark and his family were especially helpful with transfers as well as being a fantastic guide for the beautiful city of Durban. The room was clean and spacious and has everything you would need for an extended stay. The area is very safe and in a great location, convenient to both the city and airport. Hopefully we can spend more time on our next visit and take a safari!!

Great value for a big cottage that includes everything you need and is situated close to various fast food outlets and Spar, etc. Hosts are very friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone.

Place was clean with attention to detail like chocolates on the pillow and biscuits for tea. We appreciated those small gestures. Hosts were friendly and helpful. We will return there when we are in the area again.

We liked the non-intrusiveness of the owners. Two bedroom flat needs upgrading and the bedding is a bit tired but there was a lovely family atmosphere and all in all we were able to relax and enjoy.

Lovely accomodation
We stayed in the accommodation in November for a week. There were 4 of us, 2 little boys, my partner and myself. The place was very clean and well kept and the landlord was very kind and attentive.

Absolutely recommendable
It was a great stay with very friendly and helpful hosts. It was quiet, secure and in a walking distance to shopping facilities and restaurants. We were even able to do our daily walk through the streets.
