Description
Turrakom is a self-catering family home at the water’s edge. Wake up to the sound of waves crashing on the beach outside your bedroom window; drink sundowners and braai/barbecue while watching surfers on the famous Kommitjie Long Beach on your doorstep. In season, you may also see the whales.
The house has a large open-plan living-dining room with TV and video machine that opens onto the stoep with the best views in Kommitjie. It is ideal for a large family or two families sharing. There are two double and two twin bedrooms, one en-suite with shower and toilet. The main bedroom has a large walk-in shower and toilet on suite, there is a further family bathroom with shower, as well as two more toilets. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, dishwasher and etcetera. And there is a washing machine.
Things to do in and around Kommitjie include walking, surfing, fishing, kite surfing, sea kayaking, wave skiing, bird watching and horse riding. Meander through the local craft markets and antique and craft shops in nearby Noordhoek and Kalk Bay. Climb the Slangkop Lighthouse and visit Cape Point, where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet or walk in the nearby mountains. There are plenty of restaurants in Kommitjie and nearby villages. Long Beach Mall a mere 7 km away has all the amenities, including Cinemas and Supermarkets. Hout Bay with its fishing harbour is 25 minutes’ drive away via the famous Chapman’s Peak Drive.

Fantastic holiday!
The owner (Mary) was very helpful and friendly. The location of the house is fantastic right on the beach with amazing views up the coast. A perfect location if you are a surfer as the wave breaks about 50 metres away !
Easy to get to the surrounding area and into Cape Town. Would not hesitate to recommend it.

Perfect location
