Description
Spacious fully-equipped self-catering cottage. Two to three bedroom cottages and studio cabanas, nestled on the Noordhoek mountainside, Cape Town on famous Chapman’s Peak road, a scenic route of unparalleled beauty. Horizon Cottages offers a home from home, situated in an acre of garden with covered parking, excellent security, private patios and barbecue for each cottage, and a large sparkling pool area.
Unwind in this charming, rural community, nearby attractions include a game park, craft and farm stalls, wine farm, and Cape Point nature reserve. Noordhoek beach with in 6 km of pristine white sand is only a few minutes away. False Bay’s whale watching opportunities, or historic Simons town with its famous African Penguin colony are a short drive away. Our cottages and Cabanas have fully-equipped open-plan self-catering kitchens with fridge, stove and microwave, and quality kitchenware. Bathrooms offer shower and bath.
Cottages have door from the lounge to a covered veranda with outdoor table and benches in a private garden. Cabanas are our spacious studio units with double bed and sitting area, with en-suite shower bathroom. There is a fully-fitted kitchen and breakfast bar. Cabanas are ideal for couples, although a camping cot can be provided for small children. Enjoy the outdoors as you open the glass sliding doors to the private covered wooden deck with lovely views across the Noordhoek lakes, and the swimming pool.

Guinea Fowl Cottage (1 unit)
Guinea Fowl Cottage is furnished in bright African Colonial style with selected antiques and original artworks. It features three private bedrooms; main bedroom with a King size bed, second with three quarter bed and a further single bedroom. Our beds have orthopedic mattresses and luxury white cotton percale to ensure a good night’s rest . Unwind in the lounge/dining room with dining table for four. Enjoy preparing meals in the fully-equipped open-plan kitchen. This is the complete home from home. This spacious unit seems larger than its 60 square meters and sleeps four in both privacy and comfort. Cottages have door from lounge opening onto a private covered stoop in a secure and private garden with brick built braai/BBQ where children can play in safety without supervision. Dine al fresco at the outdoor bench/table set and enjoy the spectacular sunsets for which Noordhoek is famous.

Captain's Cottage (1 unit)
Captain's Cottage is decorated in beach cottage theme with fresh blues, yellows and whites. It features two private bedrooms; main with a King size bed and one with twin beds, while a couch in the living room folds out to a further double bed. Our beds have orthopedic mattresses and luxury white cotton percale to ensure a good night’s rest. The open-plan kitchen is fully-equipped for self-catering including fridge/freezer. Relax in comfort in the soft couches of the spacious lounge. A separate dining room has a table and setting for six. The bathroom has a bath with shower overhead. This is the complete home from home. This unit is more than 75 square meters in size and can sleep six comfortably. Cottages have door from lounge opening onto a private covered stoop in a secure and private garden with brick built braai/BBQ, where children can safely play without supervision Dine al fresco at the outdoor bench/table set and enjoy the spectacular sunsets for which Noordhoek is famous.

Cabana (2 units)
The Cabanas are bright and airy, and offer spacious self-catering accommodation for couples. Each has spacious bedroom with King size bed and en-suite shower bathroom. Our beds have orthopedic mattresses and luxury white cotton percale to ensure a good night’s rest. There is a lounge area with TV. A fully-fitted kitchen with breakfast bar allows for relaxed self-catering convenience. Sliding glass doors open from the Cabanas on to a covered wooden deck with spectacular views of the Noordhoek lakes and overlooking the pool area. Dine outdoors on the deck and watch the spectacular sunsets for which Noordhoek is famous. A camping cot, feeding chair for toddlers or fold out single bed for small one sharing is available upon request.

Fabulous Trip

Ideal place to stay
The accommodation was exactly as described. It was clean and comfortable "a home from home".
It is an ideal place to stay for exploring the surrounding attractions. It is in a nice Semi rural setting with pubs near by.

Extreme relaxation
Thank you for a fabulous weekend.We had a wonderful time. The accommodation was squeeky clean and very comfortable.We were greeted with a smile and smothered in kindness and helpfulness.Thank you once again for making our stay a memorable one.We will definitely make it a regular home away from home.

We highly recommend this accommodation
We had the most fabulous time staying at Horizon Cottages. We were very well looked after by Dennis and made to feel very welcome. It was like home from home.
We had some panic moments (the need for extension leads - plugs etc for hairdryers) on the day of my son's wedding but Dennis rose to the occasion and resolved all of our problems! You cannot ask for better service than that.
The cottages are delightful, clean and very secure and close to all amenities, beaches, shops, etc. Hats off to Dennis.
We would like to wish Dennis the very best for the future and may Horizon Cottages go from strength to strength.

Very good
Even after a long tiring drive there was nothing to complain about. The accommodation was very good and we were welcomed by Dennis even at the late hour of our arrival. Dennis proved to be a good host and was very willing to help in any way he could. I would certainly stay there again.

We would go back there again...
We stayed for about a week in a self catering cottage. It was perfect for us. There is good security (being a South African that is important to me), the cottage was clean, there is a nice braai area and patio. Dennis went out of his way to help friends of ours with accommodation that came down for the weekend from Johannesburg. They were just as impressed. I would strongly recommend it to anyone.

Great stay
We had a great stay at Horizons! Our cosy wooden chalet had amazing views across the valley and Long Beach. The chalet was clean and fully-self-catering, although we needn’t have brought food as the hospitable owners spoilt us with a free dinner. The owners were very friendly and made us feel right at home. It is a great place to go with kids as there is a huge garden and swimming pool and it is ideal for families travelling together. A lovely stay – thanks very much!
